Large flat 19th Century French apothecary jar

A French sangsue jar dating from the 19th Century with a rare flat form. Originally used by doctors and pharmacists for medical leeches. These hand blown glass jars look wonderful when displayed in a collection or filled with precious finds such as seashells or candy.
