A handsome large French oil on canvas dating from the 19th century, painted with an elegant neoclassical garden scene and likely executed as part of a larger decorative ensemble. A garden urn overflowing with roses stands upon a terrace overlooking a wooded landscape, while an abundant arrangement of melons, grapes, peaches, pomegranates, citrus fruit, and game birds fills the foreground.
