A striking French opaline glass pendant light dating to the mid-20th century. The generously scaled saucer-shaped shade is formed in milky white opaline glass and finished with a beautifully crimped clear glass rim that creates a lively silhouette. Suspended from a twisted cloth-covered cord with a patinated metal socket fitting, it diffuses light softly and evenly, while the transparent edge catches the light and adds subtle sparkle. Presented in very good condition.
This pendant reflects the enduring appeal of French café and kitchen lighting from the postwar period. Ideal above a kitchen island, farmhouse table, or breakfast nook, it brings timeless French character to an interior. Equally effective used alone or installed in a series, it suits both traditional and contemporary spaces.
