A superb, large French antique gilded mirror hailing from Aix-en-Provence and dating from the nineteenth century. It features a rectangular frame with intermittent smooth oblong shapes separated by raised gilded stucco motifs of leaves and flowers. Suitable for both modern and traditional interiors, it can be hung in a portrait or landscape direction. Note in photos some gilding has rubbed off one corner.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
