A superb, large olive jar from Tournac dating from the early nineteenth-century. The vibrant green glaze is typical of these kinds of olive jars. A rare find for it's scale and condition. Antique Olivette oil jars from Tournac, France, are distinctive earthenware vessels historically used to store olive oil.
