Large Mid-20th Century Italian Giltwood Branchwork Mirror - 50½" x 33"

This mid-20th-century giltwood mirror, likely Italian, features a sculptural faux-bois frame of intertwined branches with knotted nodes and textured bark. The openwork design winds around a shaped rectangular plate and rises to a pierced crest, the gilded surface showing a warm, mellow tone with natural variation from age. Condition is good, with minor chips and small areas of rubbing to the gilding, and light speckling and local silvering losses to the mirror plate. Visibility remains clear and bright.  A recent plywood back has been added to protect the mirror.
