Dating from the early twentieth century, a large terracotta antique French confit conserving pot with a charming ochre-mustard color glaze. There is an indention near the top of the cylindrical jar which creates a space to secure a cloth top with string.
The interior is fully glazed in the same color as the exterior. A delightful French piece to use as a crock for kitchen utensils by the stove or for flowers. If using as a vase for fresh flowers, please place a watertight container inside first as there may be some condensation .
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
