This portrait drawing is a study of a character from the painting of the Entrée de Henry IV à Paris by Henry Cassagne, born in 1842 in Toulouse, living a short life until 1867. At the bottom right of the portrait, we can read 'Part Henry Cassagne le 20 juin 1855'. This drawing retains the original wood and stucco frame.
