Large Primitive French Wooden Trough 76½"

An exquisite late nineteenth / early twentieth-century wooden trough carved from mountain pine perhaps used for grains and feed on a French country farm. At one time, it may have been used as a water trough as indicated by the remnant of staples used to secure metal sheets that would have made it waterproof at one time. Note the pretty repairs "a la epoque".
