Large round porcelain plate w/ snowball fight scene - Signed E. Dessain 18"

This delightful large, rare French porcelain plate dates from the twentieth century and surprisingly features a scene of a snowball fight outside a French school. The happy scene features schoolboys hurling snowballs at one another. Pretty gilded edges line the inner and outer edge of the black border and the scene is in a sepia tone. A charming piece to add a touch of French playfulness to your winter décor. This work of art plate is signed in the lower right corner by French artist "E. Dessain" and marked "B. & Cie" on the reverse.
