Dating from the late nineteenth-century, this pretty asparagus cradle is unbranded. As the background is beige, it may have been made by the Luneville or Saint Clement faience. The white asparagus spears have purple tips and the border is decorated with flowers that are glazed with pink and gold. There is a vinaigrette / artichoke well at each end.
