Dating from the late-nineteenth century, this French butcher's shop hanger features wrought iron crown cross bars with five 4-prong grappling irons suspended from chains. This may also have been used as a handy tool to fish out buckets from a well, known as a "grappin de pluits" in French. Today, these hooks provide ample storage opportunities and rustic country kitchen charm. They could be used in a practical setting as hooks for pots and pans or aprons and kitchen towels. It could also serve as a way to hang baskets of plants or herbs.
