This late 19th century French shop counter presents a confident, grounded silhouette in warm oak with a mellow, timeworn patina. A small additional plinth has been added at a later date along the base, likely to protect the lower edge, integrating discreetly into the overall form. Originally fitted with a roll-top closure to the rear, the mechanism is no longer functional and has been secured in its present position, while the interior shelves remain accessible for storage.
