This late nineteenth-century ceramic pot à graisse from the mountainous Savoy region of France has a sunny yellow glaze on the outside and red-orange mahogany glaze on the inside. This piece would be a delightful addition to an existing collection of pottery or to use as a vase or cachepot for a small orchid or plant. 

The underside is unglazed.
