This petite café or garden table features a rectangular white marble top with rounded corners set on a green-painted wrought iron base with serpentine legs and an X-form stretcher ending in small capped feet. Circular bosses secure the joints with faint raised decoration, adding a discreet touch of ornament. Dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, it remains in good condition: the marble shows light scratches, edge nicks, minor pitting, and a rust-toned stain at one corner, while the iron base retains its weathered green paint with traces of oxidation. The flowing lines and roundels reflect the graceful forms popular during the Belle Epoque, when northern French foundries crafted elegant yet practical tables for cafés, winter gardens, and terraces.
In a contemporary interior, this table serves beautifully as a breakfast or wine table for two, a conservatory plant stand with presence, or a living room accent with a small lamp and books. Its restrained palette and slim profile suit both traditional rooms and modern spaces, while the quietly weathered surfaces add character.
