This charming antique "kanti" pitcher showcases a tricolor design, consisting in a green demi-glaze on the upper part and a visible layer of engobe.

Popularized at the end of the nineteenth century, Kanti pitchers are from the Languedoc region of south-west France. They are similar to water cruches except that they are entirely closed on top - there is no lid to open and close (or lose!).

Once used to fetch water from the village fountain, they now serve as charming additions to any kitchen display, blending history with timeless beauty
