This magical cupboard dates from the late nineteenth-century. The door has five false drawers that unlock only when one depresses the lever, hidden in the bottom frame, with ones foot. A round wooden screw unlocks document storage on the top. An ingenious design for storing precious objects and documents. The patina is superb.
