An amusing contemporary oil-on-canvas work of art signed by the French artist Marc Clauzade and dating from the late twentieth century. This playful painting features a colorful scene of personified animals such as rabbits sitting at tables with coffee enjoying a classic French bistro setting. Masterfully capturing a compatibility of color and texture, Clauzade delights us with a highly imaginative piece featuring woodland creatures in dapper human dress. In this whimsical scene, a portion of a bistro awning reads, "Le pas un chat" in the upper left corner. The piece is signed by the artist in the lower right-hand corner and ensconced in an elaborate gilded wood frame. A fabulous piece to bring a delightful touch of imagination to your space.
