Louis Philippe mirror w/ silver gilt & floral carvings 35¾" x 24"

This beautiful antique Louis Philippe mirror with alternating gilt and silver accents on its frame dates from the nineteenth century, France. Note the petit silver gilt pearl beading gracing the innermost part of the wooden frame. The raised middle portion of the frame is delicately decorated with elegant floral and foliage designs. Note the mirror's glass is slightly cloudy, showing signs of foxing. Please note photos to see some of reflective material has peeled inside the upper right-hand corner of mirror. The glass surface is smooth and the high positioning does not deflect from the central area most commonly used for practical purposes.
