A charming large French chair – dating to the 1880s it is Louis XIII in style, and of the Napoleon III period. The shape of the cross bracing is known as os de mouton, which translates to bones of sheep. The timber is predominantly walnut, with some pine and beech in the seat and back rest.
Rustic condition consistent with age and use.
