This exquisite giltwood mirror dates from the late seventeenth-century, Louis XIV period. It retains the original glass. Note the pediment is a separate part that slides into the mirror frame. A rare find that is beautifully timeworn.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
