This petite Bavarian porcelain urn vase, dating to the mid–late 20th century, is modeled in a classical ovoid form rising to a short, flared neck with a softly everted rim. It features elegantly sculpted twin handles, each issuing from the shoulder in a high, looping curve and enriched with subtle molded ornament, suggestive of stylized foliage or acanthus, adding depth and movement to the otherwise restrained silhouette. The body is poised on a waisted socle and raised on a molded square plinth base with gently arched sides and applied scrollwork decoration. A band of low relief ornament encircles the lower body, evoking stylized petal motifs. Finished in a uniform white glaze, the surface is smooth and lustrous, reflecting light with a soft, glassy sheen that highlights the crisp modeling. Condition is very good, with minor kiln specks and light wear to the high points and no distracting flaws.
Nicely proportioned, it brings a quiet luminosity to a console, mantel, or bookshelf, where layered whites and natural materials benefit from its sculptural form. Displayed on its own or with a few clipped stems, it offers a refined and timeless decorative accent.
Light wear.
