An exquisite marble bust from the nineteenth century represents a Bacchante. Beautifully carved from Carrara Marble - note the grape vines and fruit around her head. Signed C. Pironnella (?), we can assume this is of Italian origin. The base is polished marble with violet veins.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
