This mid-nineteenth century French trumeau mirror is relatively simple with a reeded gilt frame. The painting in the Rococo style depicts a bucolic scene of a couple resting under a tree near a river, the shepherd is serenading the lady with a lute.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Pediment is 35¾" wide, frame width is 33" x 53½" high
Pediment is 91cm wide, frame width is 84cm x 136cm high
