A vintage resin advertising sculpture for Black & White whisky, this charming piece presents the brand’s signature terriers seated side by side, a black Scottish Terrier and a white West Highland Terrier, on a black oval base with white lettering. The hand painted fur and gentle amber shading at the eyes give a lifelike presence, while the petite bar-top scale makes it easy to place. Made in Britain, likely mid to late 20th century, it recalls the long history of James Buchanan’s Scotch and the terrier pair that became its enduring emblem in shop and bar displays. Very good vintage condition with light surface wear and small rubs to the paint, especially on the base.
Perfect on a home bar or cocktail tray, it also appeals to dog lovers, bringing a friendly, nostalgic note to a study, den, or library shelf. Pair it with cut crystal, silver bar tools, and leather-bound books, or use it to anchor a vignette of decanters and vintage glassware. Its graphic contrast and playful yet dignified character add warmth and a subtle note of classic British style to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
