Mid-20th-Century French Three-Tier Half-Moon Waterfall Iron Plant Stand - 28¾" x 56"

This French iron plant stand likely dates from the mid-20th century and is constructed in a distinctive half-moon form, with three graduated tiers creating a gently cascading, waterfall-like arrangement for potted plants. The open iron shelving is supported by a simple framework of vertical uprights and diagonal braces, giving the piece a light appearance despite its generous proportions. Layers of original green paint have weathered naturally over time, revealing areas of rust and exposed metal that give the surface an appealing garden patina. The stand remains stable and sturdy. 

Plant stands with graduated tiers were designed to display flowers and foliage at different heights while allowing light and air to circulate around the pots, and were widely used by florists and nurseries as practical display furniture.
