A 1970s Italian carved-wood two-light wall sconce in the Louis XVI revival style, featuring a tall backplate crowned with a ribbon bow and a ribbon-tied musical trophy of violin, trumpet, and music sheet on a laurel garland. Twisted arms extend to scalloped cups with faux candle sleeves. The palette is a soft blend of celadon, cream, blush, and warm gilt. In very good condition, it shows only small scattered losses to the gesso and gilding and has a gently aged surface.
This graceful musical sconce celebrates both music and classical beauty. Its softly aged patina and muted tones lend a romantic touch. Ideal for a music room, study, or entry, it can be hung beside a piano, over a console, or used as a poetic bedside accent. The gentle colors harmonize beautifully with Gustavian, French country, or classical interiors, bringing quiet sophistication and timeless charm to any setting.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
No electrical wiring included.
