Likely Italian or French, circa 1970s, this sculptural magazine rack is crafted in tubular brass with a central arched handle and two gently splayed rectangular side frames. A single brown leather strap with a decorative buckle keeps magazines neatly in place while preserving the rack's light, architectural silhouette. The brass has developed a warm, mellow patina with light surface wear consistent with age. The leather strap shows minor wear and a small frayed area near the bottom. Overall, the piece is in very good vintage condition with no visible maker's mark.
Rooted in the refined glamour of the Hollywood Regency style, the design embodies the elegant brass furnishings and accessories produced by French and Italian workshops during the 1950s through the 1970s. Balancing sculptural form with everyday utility, it transforms a practical household object into a decorative accent.
Petite yet sculptural, the rack brings warm brass tones and graceful curves to a living room, study, or reading corner. Its restrained geometry, patinated finish, and leather accents lend understated elegance while keeping magazines and folios neatly organized.
