Charming set of six French oyster plates in white faience by Longchamp, dating from the mid-20th century, likely the 1960s–1970s. Each plate is beautifully moulded with six scallop-shaped wells radiating around a central sauce compartment, all framed by an elegant woven wicker basket motif in relief.
Marked underneath with the Longchamp faience stamp, the plates embody the timeless coastal elegance of classic French seafood service ware.
The crisp white glaze and sculptural shell forms give the set a refined yet relaxed feel, perfect for seaside entertaining and traditional French table settings. Condition is excellent overall, with only light age-related craquelure adding softness and character to the glaze. A superb set for a coastal home, summer dining or oyster suppers.
Light wear.
