Originally custom-made architectural elements for a terrace, these tall stone pedestals reinterpret classical forms in locally quarried Luberon limestone. Four are available, each with a similar weathered patina that allows them to be displayed together as a harmonious group or used individually to elevate sculpture, urns, lanterns, or large planters.
Each pedestal features a subtly swelling shaft rising from a stepped plinth and crowned with a moulded square capital. Their restrained classical lines and substantial proportions give them a strong architectural presence, while decades of outdoor exposure have softened the stone with a beautifully mottled patina of lichen, mineral staining, and natural weathering. Minor nicks and losses are consistent with age and outdoor use, adding to their authentic character. One pedestal has a partially fragmented top with particularly rich weathering, lending it the evocative appearance of an ancient architectural fragment without compromising its solidity or decorative appeal.
Whether arranged as a pair to frame a doorway, all four aligned to bring rhythm and structure to a terrace or swimming pool, or used individually to display sculpture or planters, these pedestals make striking architectural accents. They are equally compelling indoors, where their sculptural forms introduce texture, scale, and the enduring charm of Provençal stone.
