Large 19th Century Biot oil jar 38¾"

A very large French olive jar from the coastal village of Biot, made during the nineteenth century. Used for storing olives and olive oil and kept sealed with a wooden lid. A rare find at such a grand scale.

Drainage hole in the base.

Condition consistent with age and use.
