A fine pair of ceramic Raki pitchers from the nineteenth century. Also known as Demoiselles d'Avignon. They were used by Turkish merchants to carry the beverage Raki to the famous La foire de Beaucaire. Handpainted with a subtle pattern.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Each measures approx. 15¼" high x 7½" x 8"
Each measures approx. 39cm high x 19cm x 20cm
