This pair of antique Anduze terracotta vases dates from between 1880 and 1900. These Boisset Anduze vases, known for their distinctive medallion motif and rich weathered patina, feature a rare glazed finish. They have a beautifully worn appearance, which showcases a green and brown aged glaze, adding character to their classical shape.

Originating from the town of Anduze in the South of France, Anduze vases have been crafted since the 17th century, originally inspired by Italian Medici urns. Historically, these elegant vases were popular among French aristocrats for adorning grand gardens and châteaux. This pair is ideal for outdoor use and would make a stunning addition to any garden as decorative planters.
