A rare pair of tole glass chiller monteiths from the eighteenth century. Ice was put in the monteith then wine glasses inverted and supported by their stems in the lower edges. Beautifully decorated with countryside scenes and some gilding. Not watertight - decorative use recommended.
Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
