Pair of Early 20th-Century Brass Girandoles w/ Peridot-Green and Smoked-Glass Drops - 16½"

This graceful pair of two-light brass girandoles, dating from the early 20th century, stands on molded circular bases with slender stems and elegantly outward-curving arms. Fine looping metalwork rises in an open, almost calligraphic pattern, hung with glass drops in soft smoky pink and fresh peridot green. Clear elongated prisms fall from the candle cups, adding further movement and sparkle while keeping the overall effect light and airy.   Each light is fitted with a high-quality ivory silicone candle sleeve, carefully crafted to imitate real wax, and a dimmable flame-effect bulb.

The pair has been sensitively restored and electrified in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence by a passionate specialist in historic lighting who works closely with Mathieu Lustrerie, the renowned Provençal workshop known for the restoration and creation of fine historic lighting. Particular attention has been given to the quality and safety of the electrification while preserving the antique character of the pieces. 

The slender scrollwork and suspended drops give the pair a wonderfully airy quality, while the touches of peridot and smoky pink introduce subtle color. They would sit beautifully on a pair of bedside tables flanking a bed, or at either end of a console, adding a soft candlelit atmosphere and a delicate touch of sparkle.
