A lyrical pair of wrought iron plant stands from the early 20th century, shaped with the fluid curves of the period’s curvilinear style. Each tall, slender stand presents a circular dished top ringed with a scrolling gallery, a twisted central standard, and exuberant leaf motifs rising over tripod bases with rolled feet. The surface shows traces of old gilding that warm the iron’s brown tone, with light oxidation and an even, timeworn patina.
Place them in a garden room with ferns or orchids, flank a mantel with trailing ivy, or repurpose them as distinctive bedside tables with a small lamp or water glass. They also serve beautifully as pedestals for a small sculpture or candles in an entry. The sculptural scrolls, layered color, and weathered finish lend grace and quiet drama to both classic and contemporary interiors.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
