A pair of French concrete garden planters in the form of handled baskets, dating from the 1970s, with a beautifully weathered outdoor patina. Each planter is made from textured concrete over a metal framework, faintly visible in areas where the surface has naturally worn with age. Decades spent outdoors have given them a richly timeworn surface, with variegated shades of stone grey, charcoal, and earthy beige, darkened in places by moss, lichen, and exposure to the elements. The rough, granular texture enhances their rustic character. Drainage holes are present at the basefor planting and outdoor use.
They would sit beautifully on a terrace, flanking a doorway, or among lavender in a Provençal-style garden. Indoors, they could bring an earthy, rustic touch to a conservatory, entry hall, or garden room, planted with trailing ivy or used to hold dried flower arrangements.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
