Each candelabrum features four scrolling arms rising from a sculptural central stem, adorned with acanthus leaves, floral collars, and finely chased foliate motifs. The openwork bases are boldly modeled with cartouches and scrolling feet, giving the pieces a lively, animated silhouette from every angle. The casting is crisp and confident, with deep relief and careful articulation throughout, and the gilding has aged to a warm, softly glowing gold patina. The drip pans are now missing. Striking both lit and unlit, they bring a sense of ceremony and sculptural richness to an interior. Place them on a mantel flanking a mirror or as a dramatic centerpiece on a dining table.
