This pair of decorative wall panels with twin candle sconces is likely French, dating to the 1970s. Each is made from vertically boarded reclaimed wood with a shallow cornice shelf, a shaped central plaque, and a circular detail near the base. Iron backplates support scrolling arms with drip pans and candle sockets. The wood shows a sun-faded mix of grey and brown, while the iron has a soft matte finish. They display an attractively weathered patina, with timeworn wood showing natural age lines, subtle chips, and gentle oxidation to the iron, all of which lend rustic, countryside charm.
Versatile in style, the pair brings character to an entry hall, flanking a mirror or console, or placed above a mantel. In a dining room they add warmth and candlelight against plaster or stone, while on a covered porch or in a garden room their aged surfaces harmonize beautifully with natural materials. They may be used with wax tapers or fitted with LED candles to suit the setting.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
