These French "Art Populaire" (Folk Art) extra long wooden benches are also called "guinguette" benches in France and feature orange painted legs. Popularized in the Paris suburbs, the "guinguette" was originally a cabaret where people ate and danced. The long benches could accommodate numerous guests and provided a communal setting which is now popular in picnic-style outdoor restaurant settings in the warm months. A solid design resting on sturdy legs at either end. Likely oak. Note photos to view the orange paint to the legs is faded. A charming way to add additional rustic French seating for a large gathering.
