A charming pair of Italian wall sconces from the 1960s, beautifully capturing the elegance and playfulness of mid-century decorative lighting. Each sconce features a foliate backplate from which extend three scrolling arms, adorned with flower heads composed of faceted Murano glass petals, in clear crystal and soft cornflower blue, each centred with a small glass rosette. At the centre, a single candle-form socket rises from a tulip-shaped cup, fitted with a cream drip sleeve that enhances the classic silhouette. The metal retains a warm, age-softened gilt finish, adding depth and character. Condition is good, with light surface wear, minor marks to the sleeves, and slight age-related irregularities to the glass. Recently rewired and ready for professional installation.
Their petite scale and romantic design make them ideal for flanking a mirror in a bathroom or dressing area, or for placement on either side of a bed. They bring a touch of Italian mid-century glamour and a delicate, luminous presence to the room.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
