A pair of weighty boules balls dating from the late 19th Century. Made from nails hammered in a pattern into a central wooden ball. Petanque is played in the north of France and the balls are larger. In the south, petanque is played and the balls are smaller - these are from the south.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Each measures approx. 2¾" to 3¼" diameter
Each measures approx. 7cm to 8cm diameter
