A pair of vintage cobalt-blue water or wine glasses from Patricia and Walter Wells’s apartment in Paris, found decades ago at a Paris brocante, a traditional flea market. Formed in saturated cobalt glass, each has a gently tulip-shaped bowl, a slim stem, and a neat round foot, the surface bright and even. The deep blue reads beautifully on the table beside white linen and porcelain. “They’re lovely for a blue-and-white table setting, perfect for dinner for two,” Patricia explains.
Comfortable in the hand and sized for water or a generous pour, these are the glasses Patricia reached for when setting easy, thoughtful meals. Her world is shaped by restaurants, markets, gardens, and shared tables, and these pieces speak to that life. Use them with simple roast chicken and a green salad, or set them for an aperitif in the garden with olives and freshly roasted almonds. On open kitchen shelves they add a clear note of color; on a terrace table they anchor a small setting with confident simplicity.
Light wear.
