This charming pair of French bedside tables was made during the mid- to late 20th century in the Louis XV style. Each features a single drawer beneath an open shelf, raised on slender cabriole legs and adorned with carved floral motifs to the crest, apron, and knees. Recently refinished in a soft, lightly distressed cream patina, they have a relaxed country-house character that feels accessible and warm. They remain in good condition, with minor wear consistent with use; one drawer is slightly stiffer to open than the other.
Inspired by the elegant furniture of the Louis XV period, these bedside tables were intended to capture the charm of 18th-century French design in a more accessible interpretation. Combining an open shelf with a small drawer, they offer practical storage while their carved details and soft patina lend them an inviting, softly romantic character.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
