A superb pair of mid-century modern Willy Guhl tilted planters ("jardinières inclinées") planters. Made from fiber cement, these planters feature Guhl’s signature minimalist design, with an inclined, funnel-shaped form that offers both visual interest and practical function. The angled opening allows for easy planting and drainage, making them perfect for outdoor use. The planters exhibit a naturally aged patina, with signs of weathering and moss growth that add to their rustic, vintage charm.
Produced in the 1960s by Eternit Schweiz AG, these pieces showcase Guhl’s innovative use of fiber cement, a material celebrated for its strength and durability. These jardinières inclinées are ideal for adding a touch of modernist design to gardens, terraces, or patios.
Please note: Due to the presence of asbestos in early fiber cement, it is recommended that these planters be displayed outdoors or in a well-ventilated space, and the patina should remain unaltered.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
