This large pair of 'mouchoir' or handkerchief planters are attributed to Willy Guhl. There are some chips and losses around the edges. These will complement both modern and classic gardens.
There are drainage holes at the bottoms on the sides. One has a crack around the bottom but it is intact. Some losses to the corners.
Guhl was a pioneer of modern industrial design in Switzerland.
Original planters by Willy Guhl are known to be made with asbestos - therefore, we advise that they are displayed outside or in a well-ventilated room. The patina mustn't be modified.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
