Petite and quietly radiant, this mid-19th-century Louis Philippe wall mirror presents a gently rounded rectangular profile with a softly metallic frame that reads between silver and pale gilt. A delicate bead course defines the inner edge, while the surface reveals a warm red bole beneath areas of wear, creating a subtle interplay of cool and warm tones. Faint engraved foliate accents animate the molding with refined detail. The original mirror plate is lightly foxed yet remains clear and usable.

Its compact scale makes it ideal for a small washroom or powder room, where its soft metallic tones lend warmth and lift to tile, marble, or painted paneling. Equally at home above a petite console, in a narrow entry, or layered within a gallery wall, it brings a calm, luminous note without overpowering the space. The softly speckled glass diffuses light gently, enhancing surrounding vignettes and lending timeless appeal to both traditional and pared-back interiors.

Condition and patina consistent with age.

Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
