Petite Art Nouveau Brass Lamp w/ Frosted Glass Flower Shade - 5½"

This petite Art Nouveau table lamp, dating from the early 20th century, combines a richly modeled brass base with a sculptural frosted-glass flower shade. The circular foot is cast with rounded and foliate ornament, rising into a slender curved stem that bends gracefully forward to support the single light. The shade is formed from overlapping glass petals, deeply ribbed and curling outward in different directions, creating a particularly fluid sense of movement. The softly frosted glass diffuses the light beautifully, and no visible chips are apparent.

The lamp has been carefully restored and rewired in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence by a passionate specialist in historic lighting who works closely with Lustrerie Mathieu, the renowned Provençal workshop specializing in the restoration and creation of fine lighting. Particular attention has been given to the quality and safety of the electrification while preserving the aged surface of the brass and the delicate original glass. 

Its small scale and expressive floral silhouette give it a gentle, graceful presence, perfect for a bedside table, small desk or dressing table, where its softly diffused light creates an intimate, warm glow.
