A petite French two-part cupboard in the Louis XV provincial taste from the early 20th century, The façade is gently curved with molded raised panels to the doors and sides, a scalloped skirt, and short cabriole legs. The upper case has an arched bonnet and twin paneled doors over a conforming lower cabinet, each fitted with simple iron escutcheons. Later painted in a pale blue-grey with a softly distressed finish revealing the timber beneath, it carries a romantic, timeworn patina. Interior shelves are adjustable. Note that the upper lock is not functional.
This cupboard reflects provincial traditions inspired by Rococo forms, its delicate proportions, curved front, and weathered blue surface giving it a quiet charm. Practical and versatile, it recalls painted furniture made for kitchens and dining rooms while offering a softer, more decorative presence. Its petite size and romantic character make it ideal for a child’s room, a bathroom, or a breakfast nook. The powdery finish lends a gentle touch of French country style to both rustic and modern interiors.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
