A small early 20th century milk jug from Savoy, hand thrown in earthenware with a warm terracotta body and a pale cream glazed rim and interior. The rounded belly rises to a pinched pouring lip and a sturdy loop handle. Each side is decorated with a hand painted flower, one with white petals and a brown center, the other with brown petals and a white center, framed by soft green leaves. Made for everyday use in Alpine farm kitchens, it reflects the charm of regional folk pottery, with age-worn patina, natural crazing, and small nicks that enhance its rustic character.
This piece brings gentle color and cozy cottage charm to open kitchen shelves, a breakfast nook, or a cottage-style console. Use it as a petite vase for herbs or wildflowers, as a tidy holder for teaspoons or brushes, or display it alongside other rustic ceramics for an easy collected look.
